Military expenditures

    I was a bit generous, the US spends 47% of the worlds share on military expenditures(2003).  Point being this is eight times the expenditure of any country, interesting Japan is second with no "military".   This is from the Sipri(link below).  Used as source for time and Wall Street Journal so data is accurate as can be expected.  Calculation methodology is on there web site.  GDP data is in another article I can't find and a pay version is on the web site.
